First Year Experience and Orientation

The Center works closely withÌýthe Jump Start and New Student Orientation programs, as well as BU's Learning Communities, Academic Advisement, and the First-Year Seminar courses for incoming students.ÌýThese First-Year Seminars lay the foundation for your future academic successÌý — covering study skills, time management, and cultural diversity.Ìý

Your transition to °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê isn't confined to a one-day orientation event. We've designed an immersive program that will help you, along with your family and supporters, get ready to start your journey on the right 'paw'! The BU orientation program includes:

  • A pre-orientation virtual platform- Bloom Bound
  • The Zoom with Bloom webinar series ()
  • A New Student Orientation event (in-person or virtual)
  • Welcome Week
